Golf Instruction
Brent Johnson is the Director of Instruction at the Brent Johnson Golf Academy. Brent has competed in 5 PGA Club Professional championships and 2 Senior Club Professional championships and also captured the prestigious West Penn Open in 2000. His passion for improving golf games is unparalleled. Brent teaches all levels of players including juniors, beginners, college golfers, and low handicap golfers. His teaching knowledge combined with his playing experiences will make your lesson a great learning experience.
Our Academy’s philosophy about golf is informative and simple. Students will leave each lesson with a clear understanding of what you are doing and simple solutions to fix it. We judge each individual separately and give him or her the help that best fits and is most likely to lead to improvement. Each student will learn how to practice, how to play the golf course, and how to analyze your golf game to find areas that need the most improvement.

JUNIOR GOLF PROGRAM
New for 2024 is a new twist to the junior golf program. I am still going to be conducting a beginner’s camp and also an intermediate/advanced week camp for the more experienced juniors looking to improve their overall game with emphasis on strategy and short game among other things.
Listed below are the dates for my programs:
BEGINNER PROGRAMS
These programs are ideal for the golfer who has never played or has very little experience. All aspects of the game will be covered and will be taught by 2 instructors. Cost of the program will be $220 for ages 9-11 and $245 for ages 12-16. Cost includes tee gift, instruction, and lunch following our play day on the last day of each session. Juniors must have their own set of clubs. Before purchasing clubs, you can consult Brent with advice on what to purchase. Clubs that are too heavy and too long will hurt your child’s ability to be successful. Brent may have used sets to purchase at a lesser cost. Brent sells U.S. Kids Clubs. These clubs are the lightest and offer a wide array of sizes compared to what you may find at a Golf Galaxy or Dick’s Sporting Goods.
Session 1 (Limit of 10 juniors per age group)

Cost of this program will be $225 per child and two instructors will be teaching this program. Maximum of 10 kids.

PLAYING LESSONS
Looking for an option other than hitting balls on the range? Do you want to lower your score? A great way to improve your score is by playing 9 holes with 3 other golfers along with an instructor. Special attention will be paid in regards to short game options, reading greens, and course management. Many people have stated how much they never knew how to play certain shots and how much thought went into playing the game.
Requirement is (4) golfers for 9 holes. Cost of a playing lesson is $160 per person plus the cost of a 9 hole cart fee and green fee ($33). You will be pleasantly surprised how fast you will be able to lower your score after taking a playing lesson. These lessons with begin at 7:45 am on one of our “open” nines and will conclude in 2 hours. Please contact Brent or Jerry to reserve your group for a playing lesson. If you are interested but do not have friends who are interested, let me know and we will try to pair you up with other golfers.
PRIVATE INSTRUCTION
Individual private instruction is available as well if you prefer the one-on-one experience. Brent has a tremendous amount of experience in developing golfers so they are able to diagnose their own problems when they get away from the lesson tee. Brent works with the individual based on what they want to work on in their swing. Don’t forget the short game as this is the more often overlooked aspect of the game. Lindenwood offers 2 putting greens, chipping green, and bunker to assist you in improving this part of your game.
Technology such as new Trackman 4 launch monitor, video, V1 Pressure Mat, and Capto golf putting analyer are utilized in the lesson to aid the pupil in learning the game. Come experience a lesson at Lindenwood and you’ll see why we are a leader in golf instruction and are serious in improving your golf game.

Another aspect to improving your golf game is having the proper equipment. We offer demo clubs for you to hit and experience what’s new in the latest equipment for 2024. Lindenwood offers numerous fitting days from major manufacturers such as Taylor Made, Callaway, Ping, Titleist and Mizuno. These days occur throughout the summer so if you cannot attend one, there is a good chance you can catch another at a later date.
